| Let me get this straight, the outcome of this election and the results of initiatives that were on the ballot in some states gives a clearer picture as to where our country is headed…I have believed for quite a while that we are becoming Europe, a socialized country where anything goes.
Here are some examples of the things people around the country were voting on and the outcome: (sources available upon request).---or look it up yourself.
1. South Dakota – The abortion ban fails, so, bye bye babies. I say if you don’t want the babies, don’t have sex.
2. Although Arizona and South Dakota – did raise taxes on tobacco which I actually agree with because I am tired of paying medical bills for smokers….
But then again Arizona and Ohio – passed a ban on smoking in public places including bars and clubs. Now, I am not a fan of smoking, bars or clubs but I am a fan of free enterprise and small business and I say that if you have a business you should be able to set ground rules there (and another subject altogether, hire whoever you want )…If I don’t want to be exposed to the smoke I can choose not to patronize these businesses..this was never really a concern of mine.
Funny that we can be so concerned about second hand smoke and not care about sucking the brains out of an unborn baby.
3. And all you gays can go to Arizona to get married now, thank the Lord it will be safe for them with no concerns for second hand smoke inhalation. And I guess since you’re gay the abortion issue doesn’t pertain to you.
Now the gays will need to be sure and study their geography and not end up in Virginia (where the fake conservative Democrat-Webb) is now representing this state and he will have to grudgingly stand by the initiative there which passed saying that it defines marriage as between a man and a woman.
4. Yes, Stem Cell research passed in Missouri- very deceitfully I might add, now they are well on their way to cloning(which was hidden between the lines in the initiative) and allowing the partial birth abortions…taking a life to save one; I guess those whose motto is “the ends justifies the means” are satisfied with this. I do not even want to think about the judgment that God will have on these people. I have pity on them.
Stem cells can be retrieved from cord blood there is no need to kill a baby. And no disease cure has even been close to being proven.
At least Nevada and Colorado DID reject legalizing marijuana.2 bright spots in this big mess.
5. Although, in California it appears that you can be arrested for smoking a cigarette in public(because you are causing second hand smoke), but not marijuana(marijuan is legal in santa monica)-I am assuming that they have done many countless studies to come to the conclusion that there is no second hand smoke from pot because these people only inhale, yeah, that has to be the reason for this result.
6. But not to worry if you happen to be smoking a cigarette in public at an abortion clinic and especially if you are underage because it is no longer a law that abortion clinics give parental notification when their child comes in for an abortion---no matter what age she is…but I am confused, if she happens to be smoking in public would that need to be reported ? I mean is an abortion clinic considered a public place?
Regardless, parental rights are out the window.
7. Now, we can see that there are 6 states that want to increase minimum wage….this is translated to mean ; we want you to stay in low paying job, we don’t want you to have incentive to better yourself, we should all be equal- no matter our education, we’d like to keep you dumb, we’re against capitalism (increasing minimum wage hurts the economy because it makes it harder on companies, especially small businesses who either have to cut employees and benefits like insurance ,or they have to raise prices to pay their employees the higher minimum wage) either way it hurts us all. The delusion of a better way of life for people by increasing minimum wage….now that LIE should be Illegal!
Another bright spot, so as to not be so depressing is the fact that the Ban on Affirmative Action passed in Michigan (but it is being fought.) But for now anyway, cultural diversity will have to be maintained some other way besides just letting someone into college because they are a minority or a certain race…when entering college or applying for scholarships, race should not even be considered…people cry discrimination in all other situations and don’t want to be treated differently but for some reason they want to be treated differently when applying for college. Get Real! Get in the way everyone else does. You shouldn’t get any special treatment.
8. Now to get totally ridiculous, here are a few that I am ashamed that we wasted voters time with…I mean if this is what got you out to the polls…you have some serious issues that stem cells and avoiding second hand smoke will never be able to help.
Here we go,
- In Arizona, the initiative passed saying that it is now against the law to transport animals, even those going to the slaughter for food, or for any reason, are not to be put in cages because it is considered inhumane treatment…it causes them to be limited in their movement which can lead to myalgia(joint discomfort)—oh for Pete’s sake! That is the least of these animals problems. Now these businesses do not have to supply ice packs and heating pads but they do have to put all animals on a tether to allow proper exercise for these animals(the cows and pigs and possibly chickens)…Aren’t these tethers made of leather? Now that’s just sick, tying a cow up with a strap made out of possibly his mother or cousin…isn’t that emotional abuse?
There is a kicker here though…all complaints against the animals must be in English in Arizona because luckily for us the state voted to make English the official states language…duh?!….It drove me crazy to see the polls when I went to vote that said “vote aqui” I mean come on…if you can’t speak the language…I do not think that you should get to vote; as a “legal “citizen you should have to learn English. Don’t even get me started here.
- And next election the voter turn out will be up because the Democrats of Rhode Island just restored the rights of felons and parolees to vote. So besides dogs, dead people and illegals voting we will get murderers and rapists…hmmm???? I wonder who they will vote for?
- Well let’s end on a really stupid note; From Washington state: This actually didn’t pass, which ,WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE ANYWAY ?
A stripper doing a lap dance must stay at least 10 feet away from the customer and not the 4 feet away that was being voted on….I could not figure out who the real loser was on this one??? I mean, in an inadvertent way wouldn’t this raise the minimum wage for strippers…if they could just get closer to earn more money and isn’t this something that the ACLU could get in on ;I mean…the poor elderly blind people…can they really see well at 10 feet, isn’t that discrimination…
I guess that is enough to get you going. Though there is much more. Just thought you would like a little look at what some of your tax money is going and to show you what kinds of things you’re representatives are fighting on for you.
I think my 10 year old could be more effective in congress and get more important things done in less time. | | |
| I find it interesting that the Liberals are excited about winning (as they should be) but they are against a war that would help to ensure the Iraqi people the same opportunity to select their government. That seems hypocritical to me.
So the Dems say the people want change, I guess that would mean the opposite of the following things then---

-There have been no terrorist attack here on Americans since 9/11
-Lower gas prices avg. $2.08 per gal
-Increased take home pay for all workers due to lower taxes
-Lower taxes(for everyone who works)which is a lot of people since…we have
-The lowest Unemployment rate in history and in the world, at 4.4 %
-A strong economy, with the Dow Jones industrial average at an all time high
-Increase in home sales in the last 4 years with the largest increase ever for African Americans
So even though the conservatives got no credit for any of these things.(which wouldn’t have happened without the President).We will know who to blame when these things start changing….Yes,, that change that the Dems say we all want, THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN, and as Pelosi has said Now it is time to Govern…get at it I say, oh wait you will have to take time to formulate a plan since you don’t have one. That’s ok take all the time you need, we conservatives will stand by and endure our lower taxes and our great jobs and rest in the comfort that we won’t get blown up again until the Dems have a plan. So take your time, while we clean house and get back to our roots.
We shall now hear from the liberal media, the end of negative reporting on the state of the country and he countries future. As Rush says, there will be a new optimism reported in our future and our childrens future. There will be an overwhelming reporting of a new happiness for all people and even the birds will be chirping louder and the sun will be shining brighter. Can we all hardly wait for all of this. (as if the great conservative accomplishments listed above were causing so much depression).
I say, when you vote your conscience and hold to what you believe without compromise, the sun is always bright, whether you win an election or not.
Again, these things make my day brighter….too bad they are about to disappear.

This election has been cathartic for us conservatives…It is always good to get rid of what is bringing you down (like Democrats in Republican clothing). We’re smarter than that. The funny part is that Most of the Dems that took over are Republicans in Democrat clothing , that is the only way they could win. Some of our Republican candidates left us no choice and gave us nothing to vote for…the liberals think they won because they’re liberals, but anything can beat nothing(which is what some Republicans offered)-nothing I should say but, big government and liberal policies(Lincoln Chaffey).
This is not to discount the great conservative candidates(Rick Santorom and Michael Steele) who stood by their principles and did not back down in the liberal parts of the country—where the people deserve what they will be getting.
We have 2 years now to help people learn to discern the difference in the 2 types of Republicans….a true VS a fake. It is not hard if you look at the voting records but not everyone does that….we just like to assume that the name Republican =Conservative. We learned in this election that this is not true. Any future candidates that want to claim the Republican name better get their act together and prove their conservatism or you will not get our vote. This is how the Dems won…even though I don’t believe them and I don’t think they are as moderate as they would like you all to think. They are wolves in sheep clothing. We shall see by how they vote.
We have proven before that we can win. That is, sincere conservatism, fought with vigor and eagerness, without fear from the establishment (which waters down our beliefs)…this kind of conservatism will always triumph.
I am sooooo proud of my conservative values and politics that encourage capitalism. Heaven help us as we moved closer to socialism with the election results; higher taxes and more govt programs, anything goes, welcoming parties for illegals(they can get free college but my kids can’t-they get free health care but I don’t ), That’s ok because I have a job that pays more than minimum wage , oh wait, not for long, since minimum wage is going up now as the Dems promise…..that will keep people in their place won’t it, I mean why pay to go to college to make more money, if eventually the minimum wage will be the same. There is no incentive to better yourself. So yeah, thanks Ms. Pelosi for that future. Why not just bump that wage up to $30-$50 per hour. Huh? Why Not? I mean I think we should all be equal it is not fair for some to making more than me, is it? Good grief! And please let me pay more in taxes, it is what we have longed for…I mean how else are we going to pay for the illegals healthcare and college.
I think we should take pause, when our election result had cheering in the streets in Palestine, Pakistan, France and Venezuela. Does this bother anyone else? Our election made the terrorists happy, Wow!
How sad for us. Freedom move over---extreme Islamic Fascism is taking over. How can we be so blind.

But more than this, I know who is really in control and where true freedom lies and this gives me a peace amongst all of this election” hoo ha”, which in the big scheme of things is very minuscule.
No matter who is humanly in control of this country/world; I am convinced that the only thing that matters is… faith and hope expressing itself through love.
So no matter how misguided and dooped some of you are, I love you and would love to have you over for dinner.

| I am leaving tomorrow for Iowa....Gregory and I are taking flight. I'll fly to Minneapolis where my dad will pick me up. I hope I can go there and just do nothing for a week. I don't care if I just sit in a chair and stare at the wall and visit with my dad. To do Nothing right now would be great to me. I do plan on finishing the challenge Pastor Mark gave us...to memorize the Sermonn on the Mount. It is Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7. I have 5 & 6 down, just have to do 7. that is my goal for the week to get that memorized. It is a total of 103 verses I think. I have about 84 memorized soo far, so wish me luck. | Havn't been able to post because I have been working alot of hours and I have been going gung ho on the homeschooling which I must say is going wonderful(knock on wood). Gregory is now writing some cursive which his occupational therapist tried and tried to get him to be able to do but his fine motor delay made it so hard for him. His handwriting is better than my husbands. Now we have to work on spelling that is probably our big challenge this year but oh well. Reading is great and Our new homeschool group is very encouraging. We are on the right track just going real slow. I can handle that. | | |
